Hi all
Today I was cleaning out my 2cm P.Ornata cage and it run up my had so “fast” into my vest sleave.. I grabbed my arm with the other hand so it couldn't go futher up my sleave.. I think I scared it and then It felt like some one poked me with a needle twice and it began to sting and itch then I realised I got bit yes twice by a 2cm sling believe it.. Managed to get the sling out after 5min checked my arm and it looked like a mozzi bite little swollen, it itched and stung for 15min so nothen bad... So yeah I guess slings will bit and yes you can laugh at me. Lol

Before everybody goes up in smoke over a Poecilotheria delivering a pinch, please consider what happened.

I have always maintained that they will run before they bite, and will continue to believe so until the contrary is proven. This young spider ran because of the disturbance in it's enclosure, that's normal. It found a place to hide up your sleeve, that's normal. It felt threatened but the pressure from the clothing, that's normal. It was out of options in it's own defense, so the last resort was a bite, that's normal.

So all considered, the spider acted normally, and so would any spider, be it a B albopilosum or an H minax.

There are creatures far smaller than a 2cm P ornata that can deliver a painful bite, so I am not surprised that a young Pokie can also.

Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...
