Hi guys im new to the mating thing and want some info???? I mated the to chevron's about 5weeks ago and she has been eating lake crazy and doubled her size.... I just want to know what the conditions must be and how long thay normally take???

My female was also mated about 5 weeks back so our females should be roughly at the same stage.
From asking the same questions we discovered that at this point the next step is to begin misting the tank, not too heavily and feed her as much as possible. If she has been kept dry, the misting (which effects the chance of season) should trigger her to drop.

Do you think this will be true for all species in the Psalmopoeus genus?

Do you increase the temperature to? and if you do what temperature?

Increasing temperature and humidity might also get her to moult though.
Could be a bit of trial and error involved.

Good news..... se dropt an eggsack 3weeks ago and all still looking good....now its how the hell do i get the eggsack away from her??? thanxs for all the help.....

So to get a result from your egg sack you need to keep the Humidity at 90 percent.
Humidity is important temp not so much.
In summer there is not really a need to heat the enclosure, but a good temp to keep the egg sack is 28-30C.

If that is all in good condition you should get egg with legs in 21 days.
And then you can pull the egg sack.

To make sure you get the humidity up to 90 percent and the heat perfect, play around with a spare tank so you can get the settings perfect before you start messing with the female while she got the egg sack, you don't wont to bug her to much as you mite risk losing the egg sack(female mite eat the sack or reject it).

I find with this species, they tend to drop with out much help. as long as the temps are above 28 degrees, she will drop when she is good and ready.

I had a female drop in a dry enclosure no special care.

The female will stop eating a while before she drops, but this is not a good tell tale sign though!
