GBB spinnerets

There are a good couple of females in SA. ready to breed. Just have to make peace with the males getting snacked on!

But that is really awesome to see and interesting.

@ CB1981, When did you notice the extra spinneret?

@ Stanley, the extra spinneret, would it have been out since day one of the spider hatching or as the spider been molting it has decided to grow, like a spiders leg that grows back after molting?

I can't say if it was there since the beginning, never paid enough attention. Only noticed it during the current molt cycle.

Sorry. Assuming neither of your males are closely related to the female, surely someone else in S.A. has a nice nubile female ready to breed. Trust me. It'll be worth the effort!


I personally don't think anyone would know where their GBB's originate from here in SA, so any of the females/males here could be related to this one. I personally would breed it anyway if it was me. :)
