For those of you who have Haplopelma minax please change your labels to Haplopelma sp "Big Black"

This species has long been known in the pet trade as Haplopelma minax. But it is an unidentified species, which is quite common around the border of eastern Thailand to western Cambodia. These are dark brown/black and distinct abdominal pattern, with a leg span of 15 cm.

Determined as the real H. minax by Volker von Wirth in the sense of the type of H. minax, which also fits to the locality. This is not the same species as the H. sp. "minax" in the hobby/pet trade.
