Rehoused my H Gigas

Unfortunately my H Gigas' enclosure had gotten moldy. I am struggling to keep the humidity up and prevent mold. Added a little "pond" in his new home, so hopefully things will be better now.

Anyway, I had to digg this fella out, and boy was he unhappy! It was striking out at the forceps, and grabbing on to it, and just attacking it like a mad thing! I have never seen a T so upset!

But I finally got him out, cleaned his home and returned him. Got a couple of pics to.

He was only 5mm when I got him, and now is at least 2"! Not sexed yet, but I actually don't care if a boy or girl - this is just an amazing spider!

I've got two of these, a male and a female. Both of them are very easy-going. No aggression at all when I re-homed them recently. My girl also got a little pond in her encolsure, and I watched her dive right to the bottom in it! The male sits at the size of your gigas, Karin, the female is smaller (3.5 or 4 cm).

Definitely one of my favourite species :woohoo:
