Thank you so much.
I have loads of question lol never ending list. That's why I had to buy the book as no one I know including pet stores can really help and cant get hold of breeders in Jburg were my spider is from. That is making things really hard as I want to know what my spider is,I did ask for a Mexican red knee but in the book there are loads of names so not sure what my ones scientific name is. Also want to know if I should put a light in?
Your Mexican redknee will be a Brachypelma smithi. The light is not needed. Normal daylight will be fine and they are more active at night anyway. Unless you are contemplating the light (red/ultra violet) to be for a heat source, that will only be necessary on cold winter nights, to prevent the heat from dropping below 10 degrees.
Africa is a tough country. When the going gets tough, we get going.

I fed her 4 small crickets last week with two to 3 days in between fed her sunday n then last night not sure as she is so small when to feed her. She was in hiding for 4 weeks about 2weeks ago.
