Howzit guys.
So today I went to a pet store that I don't usually go to, and I read that Tarantulas can eat meal worms. So I bought a small pack of them, I paid around R15.
When I got home I tried to feed them to my Chilean rose, she didn't accept it. I did feed her a cricket though, and she took that without hesitating. She's only been eating crickets her whole life but I'd like to add meal worms to her diet as well. Any hints or tips on what I can do to get her to convert?

Did you give the meal worm directly to your spider or did you drop it into her cage?

Hi Jake. Glad to hear from you.
I first dropped it in, 5 minutes later I picked it out and put it in front of face. Still nothing.
Kind Regards.

using a per of twezzers and a live meal worm, push the meal worm just under her fangs (front of her head) as soon as the meal worm moves she should grab it.

just don't be to force full or over powering or she will just run away.

The next method, cut the head or flatten the head of the meal worm, (reason for this is to stop it from digging and getting away from the spider) put it close to her in the enclosure and leave them alone.
She should take the meal worm without to much of an issue.

Hi Jake. Thanks for the quick reply.
I did squash the head of the meal worm and put it in front of her late last night, and when I woke up this morning it was gone.
Thanks in advance, and please check for my next topic. I would need some assistance on that too.
Thanks.
