There is one adult female, now with babies. She still lives with the ten sub adults I gave her way back. One of them shown in the picture (previous post). Away to the other side, five adults which I placed there with their biological mother, now with babies. From those five, one (maybe two) is on an egg case. I removed an adult male a few weeks back, so there are fifteen, excluding the newly hatched and soon to hatch babies.

Confusing? Five plus mother started the communal. Mother left them, I gave her ten later.

Awesome stuff.
I think by next year this time that massive enclosure of your is going to be too small.
Time to build a dedicated M balfouri room I think

Cerat suggested I just open the lid and make my spider room a communal...

I mentioned that i love you before scarab. That was not a lie, and I still do! :drunk: Because of you, I have discovered my absolute favourite t, the M. balfouri. They NEVER seize to amaze me, and neither does this thread. I havent been active lately on any reptile/arachnid forum because of reasons explained in my picture thread. But today I just couldn't resist coming back to this forum and check up on your thread! :happy:
In my opinion you have made groundbreaking discoveries in the tarantula world with this project, and I love that you are willing to share it with us in such detail. Many breeders would/are keep/keeping such info to themselves, to make some extra cash.. :pinch:
