Synergy - The enclosure is not huge, about 40cm X 25cm footprint. It has a wooden log as hide, a few rocks and the usual plant. It would not be sufficient to home 6 adults. The plan is to remove them from their current enclosure when they voluntarily leave the nest and start obvious attempts at creating their own. I will however house then together again, into an environment where multiple adults can live.
I anticipate adding five from each sac to these later, the practicalities thereof I have had in my head for almost two years already...
At some point, these spiderlings have to start hunting and feeding on their own, without the mother "spoon feeding" them. I had a few pin heads, so I decided to give it a shot. No harm could come of it, I added about 40 very small crickets. Because I have nothing else to do, I sat watching the crickets wonder around the entrance of the hide. To my amazement, one brave little fellow climbed the webbing and grabbed itself a few pin heads... Needless to say, it went back inside to feed (and brag to the others I'm sure...).
I will feed the mother a large cricket or two tonight. Want to see if she still shares...
