Then Got the red Opel Kadett from my Grandfather.
1.6L Cub
Only did 2 upgrades to the Opel, was a free flow exhaust, learnt from golf so just had the guy install a standard system, the car must make it own noise.
And then I had gotten a fibre glass bumper kit for the car, front bumper, back bumper, side skirts and a wing.
I had changed the design of all the additions so the Opel will look unique and not look like every other tom that has got and Opel and just stuck the bumpers onto the car.
I also fitted and cut all bumpers to fit perfectly onto the body.
Redesigned everything.
I had all the bumpers on the car, working on them, fine tuning and just testing if it is all going to stay attached to the car.
2 weeks before the car was scheduled to go in for spray painting, I had a accident with it, some guy had stopped in the yellow block with an X inside, in the lane that is made for turning cars from the shopping centre to slip into the traffic.
He's fault, but the law of the road is if you ride into someone from behind, it is your fault regardless if he slammed on breaks or reversed into me or if he was in the wrong place.
The guy did not clam from my insurance as he said he's insurance would cover it so I must not worry about it, but he's insurance company did not feel like that, they ended up suing me for the repair they did and my insurance company said they not going to cover me as I have only joined them.
The insurance company sued me for R4500.00, the repair only costed R2500.00 in total.
So after fighting with the lawyers and making someone cry and getting The owner of the law firm threatening to take me apart, and still pushing he's buttons for 2 more months, I agreed to pay R2500.00 on it, with no interest or the lawyers cost added on or we go to court.
None the less, front bumper, light and bonnet was stuffed, so I scrapped the spray painting of the car returned car to original look.
But here is the Opel with the designer bumpers.
