I want to build my own enclosures so what i need to know is what is the standard size on both arboreal & terrestrial cages in small , meduim & large and if any one can help me to get that plastic airhole thing for the lids , i know i can build any size i want to but ill rather do it right the first time

Builders warehouse has the plastic vents in the cupboard section. Small and large ones.

Size wise would depend on the T. I build my enclosures as they grow. That way I don't have an enclouse that is too big for the T and feeders don't have a field day.

General rule of thumb is 3x the size of the T for length and width. For height as well for Terrestrials. Arboreals I go twice the width for height

I do the same as Jones as my collection of Ts get bigger I just build new tanks .

I have 3 types of sizes so far.

I got 110mm x 110mm x 110mm for my smaller slings from 3cm up to 7cm

Then I got 300mm x 220mm x 220mm from 7cm and up to my biggest Ts wich is now at 10cm ..

And then for my aboreals I have them in 300mm x 220mm x 230mm the biggest Ts's I got in the one is 13cm and this is pushing my space for the 2 Ts I got in them.
next shed I will make tanks at 400mm x 250mm x 250mm

But It really depends on what you wont and your space you have to play with .

I eventualy started building enclosures , For safety to my T's how much time is needed before I start to rehouse , some people say 48 Hours should be fine , and do I need to wash the enclosures with soap or will it be ok if I just rinse it

My friend helped me build some leet enclosures and we let them cure for 3 days then just washed them out with soapy water and rinsed them out with hot water.

You will need to make sure that the silicone sealant is completely cured before you rehouse, otherwise you risk losing your T's due to the fumes that it gives off while curing which are generally toxic.

To be safe, I would suggest waiting at least 72 hours AFTER curing completely (the silicone you used should give you a time frame to cure on the packaging).

Once cured and left for 72 hours, you should only need to rinse the enclosure before rehousing since you generally need to clean the glass thoroughly before using the silicone.

If you still smell the sharp silicone smell it is better to leave it longer than take unnecessary risks with your T's.
