P.Metallica - WOW!

Ok, hopefully I have put this post in the right place first of all - need to get the hang of this new forum.

Back to my story...today, I saw the Poecilotheria Metallica in real life for the first time...good gosh they are beautiful.

The Specimen I saw was laying vertically in the typical "straight-out" position, and was probably about I would guess 4 to 5 inches in length in that position.

Seeing them in pictures are one thing, and can show you the bright colours these spiders have, but seeing it for real is just something else.

When first hearing the prices for the T's I thought "Agh man, I really like T's but not sure I would fork out R2000 for one of these". Well, I started saving for my P.Metallicas about 3.4 seconds after seeing this one...

Sorry to sound soppy, but just had to share this..

yeah for slings sometimes ... they can be anything from that up. All that jaz of supply and demand.

A while back rockspider was selling sling for I think under 2 grand but I speak under correction. But I do agree with you ... as a poki fan I think they are brilliant spiders! reall stunners... One poki that I would really love though is a subfusca 'highland'

I thin Scarab has hit the nail on the head there.

Those are the average prices they would go for.

In my experience waiting for such a opportunity to pop up on tarantulas.co.za is the the cheapest... otherwise you might end up paying a hell of allot more.
