Hi guys

After purchasing a background from ExoTerra for R400+ i decided to google a bit of background design/ terrarium designs. Got a wealth of ideas that are easy to implement.

My curly female moved into her new villa this afternoon and seems to enjoy the ready made burrow (obviously viable from outside!)

I was wondering if any body else on here tried their hand in Terrarium art, and if they would care to share?

u should speak to cascade, he is a pro at that stuff. there are some threads on what he has done SOMEWHERE on the forum!

Electro78. there are amazing Ideas out there and some really cool designs, I think if you are an artist you can do really amazing things!

I have to agree with gemini. Your design look amazing.

I'm currently making a cage for a bearded dragon. Will post some pics soon.

I read that you use paint. I have found colored grout at my local art shop (they use it for mosaic tiles) and they create a very rough surface. I also bought a bonding liquid that makes it water proof when u mix that with your grout instead of water.

Loved the spider cave design. Now i need more polystyrene!

Hope you have taken pictures of the whole stage from start to finish.

I have started using grout, as you will see in picture in the link that I have added.
It looks allot better and you got more design capability from it.

I still like to paint my stuff as I feel its saver for the Tarantulas and it just seals it off to prevent water from damaging it.

Just check if you going to be using bonding liquid that it’s not toxic for your Spiders or
Bearded dragons or leaves toxic smell in your cages.
But I don’t think it will do anything .
