Hi Guys and girls!
I am in the process of buying an adult female A. Velutina (Trinidad Blue Pink Toe). Now the question I have is:

Are they different from the A. Avicularia or are they actually one and the same??? An overseas forum said that they are exactly the same, with maybe colour variations???

Please help me urgently, before I make a mistake and waste my money!!!

If they have different scientific names then they should be different species. But who knows with Avics as they are so mixed up already.

Oh, and please give recognition to the owners of the pictures as well please, unless they are your pics of course.

Sometimes they have different scientific names because they were found in different locations, even though they look identical.
Would have to do DNA testing to confirm if they were indeed identical.

I had an Avicularia spec. Isla Margarita, which looks exactly like any other Avic avic. It is important if you care about origin and blood lines.

I've never owned or even seen an Avic. in the flesh. Do those pics above look anything like Avic. avic?

The bottom pic is typical Avic avic. Top one seems exaggerated on the blue tone.
They are a nice species.
I only sold mine because I needed the money and wanted to focus on some other species.
