Agreed. My entire pokie collection to date, all three of them , have been courtesy of Ruan.

something very odd that i just noticed. I discovered the ornata dead while i was feeding. I took the ornata out since it was dead and left the cricket in the tank. The cricket is dead today what the hell!

I use the peat blocks from the nursery and I normally microwave it twice, I'm now wondering if it got treated with some pesticide or something. Very strange.

Why do you microwave the peat before use?
I add boiling water and then 2 days later its ready to go.

When I got my first T thats what the guy at the shop told me to do in order to sterilise it and kill anything living in it. Ever since then I just do it out of habit.

Mine also died earlier this year . sad Don't know what happened but it developed a big bump on it's abdomen. I put it into ICU, a month later the bump dissapeared, and it was eating so I moved it back. Two days later I opened the cage and there he was, with a abdomen that suffered explosive decompression. Bodily fluids everywhere  sad :(

But yeah, such is life. I've decided that Pokies aren't for me, except for P. subfusca
