i have a dillema on my hands
panama gave me a l. parahybana (salmon pink)
and my father knows about it but not my mother
and i need ways or techniques of how i can persuade
her to allowing me to get more but she doesnt know about the first one

i desperate to get more

I was in same situation... I just sort of got her fascinated by them... showed her how they feed, told her how they molt, threw in some facts i looked up :silly: I think what got my mom interested wazs the fact that a T can regrow a leg after next molt... Yeah so basically show her how awesome Ts are and then what I did is i just bought more :silly: hahaha but im sure if your dad knows he can help u out...

forgot to say that i actually just talked about my spiders 24/7 hahaha and she gave way so yeh :evil:

LOL. we also made my mother fascinated by them. also one way you can try to explain is that snakes and tarantulas are almost the only animals that the larger they grow the more they are worth, you can explain to her that if you have an egg sack, like lets say a L. Klugi or L. Parahybana, and you have 2000 eggs and you sell them for R10ea... well you can do the math... so one way is to temp with the money aspect of the tarantulas... It worked on my mom... hehe

the best thing is to show her pictures of pretty Ts like a.versis ans gootys and tell her about their natures, physical and natural beauty haha I didnt have this problem, my father actually bought me my 1st tarantulas and has been supporting me with my hobby ever since good luck though bud!

only problem is college next year
for me this is going to be the most important 2 years
of my life and i cant mess it up

I doubt you will bud, Im doing third year BSc IT and have over 40 Ts and I cope just fine
