Hi guys

This morning I checked my avic.peru purple and his/her web has food in it which it getting mould on it. I dont want to break apart the web tho and disturb her. What should I do?? I also find the elongated glass tank is very difficult to clean and maintain any other options for an enclosure???

At the end of the day your spider health is more important than it's webbing, your spider will make new webbing.

If you can see the mold (Food) then just pull the affected area out. and if you end up pulling it home apart don't worry to much, she will start to rebuild as soon as you leave the room.

What is the size of your Tank?

thanks its small only 20cm high but very narrow about 5cm wide at the base so cant get my hands in to clean!! cant find those long tweezers either!!!

Search your local franchise pharmacy at the medical aid kit supplies. Is where I found mine. They should have various sizes.

How big is your Avic?

I would suggest you get a bit of a wider tank, maybe look at a 20cm X 10cm arboreal tank.
This will make it easier on you.
