H Gigas swimming? was created by Daine
Hey all

Was just wondering if anyone has a H Gigas with an enclosure set up for it with some water so they can swim.

Do they usually swim?

What allows them to swim but not other Ts?

Can they drown?

Hope it's not a silly question just interested

Thanks in advance

I've seen my juvis swim once or twice ,but not often ,

I read somewhere they can stay under water for long periods of time as long as a body part such as a leg is out of the water

I don't think they can drown hey Hartley !! If they stay under water long enough, they turn into Guppies.

Anything can "drown" mate, even fish. Drowning is oxygen deprivation caused by water. If you stick an H gigas to the bottom of the pond with a used Chappy, it will drown.

We see my wife's H gigas in its pond quite often. The abdomen covered in a shiny bubble... Quite freaken awesome!! I have also seen her sit with her front legs and pedipalps touching the service of the water, obviously "feeling" for passing Guppies. We have planned to introduce fish into the water well, just can't find fresh Snoek in Pretoria...

Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...
