I hope someone can be of assistance. I bought my G. rosea little more than three months ago and up until today she has not eaten once. I have read all there is to read about the G. rosea and I've learnt that they can go into a fasting period for up to two years.
So now I just check if she wants to eat once a week and continue to ensure she is happy otherwise and she seems to be very happy.

This is not my concern though. Two days ago I discovered what almost looks like scabs or something similar on her abdomen. I have never seen this on any T before. What can it be?

Hi Reinier,

You have absolutely nothing to worry about
The Genus Grammostola (which includes the Chilean Rose and the Chaco Golden Knee) is known (and easily identified) by the so called "mirror patch" on the abdomen, these are not scabs.

It is true that the Chilean rose (and the Chaco Golden Knee) can go without food for months and this is considered normal behaviour for them. Keep offering food once a week and if not eaten, remember to remove the food after about 24 hours.

From the picture, your T looks perfectly healthy and plump so you can stop worrying

Also looks like you have a Red Colour Phase G. rosea there

That is exactly what I am refering to.

As Brynn has said, that is a mirror patch.
This is another way to Id Grammostola spp.
