I got hold of this guy in town selling off his beardie , snake and spider , so I phoned him curious of the spider that is for sale and we agree to meet at his place to neg and what i saw was shocking , the tarantula a A.geniculata was in a wooden box almost the same as a bird cage with desert sand (bone dry) in it with a heating pad under the sand and no water in the water dish , the snake acording to him a corn snake same story desert sand with heating pad ( heating pad was rotten ) and one terrible smell in the enclosure then we went to the beardie , ice ice cold i actualy thought it was dead the worms (i think mealworms) turned into beatles about 6 of them dead in the water and then the "the red light" he didnt use a reptile light , it was one of those plain coloured bulbs I didnt buy them yet I ended up taking the reptiles and we agreed i will find buyers for him (the guy somehow trust me alot) so here is pics can any one identify the snake and beardie for me and also any tips on how to give proper care for them

That bearded dragon is going to require immediate attention and the correct feeding and lighting, else it will develop metabolic bone disease. (which i sincerely hope it does not have already)

The set up must be minimum:

1 x flurescent tube light UVB 5.0 (dont buy the curly light, not as effective) be warned these lights are not cheap ...and dont accept anything less. Without this light they cant metabolise the calcium in the food.

1 x Basking light on one side of the cage (they need a cool and warm side)

1 x heating pad for the night

Feeding:

NB -> Calcium Powder (easiest is to just chuck crickets in a small container and shake them in the powder)or sprinkle it over the salad.

Crickets, Roaches and salad for feeding

If there is no waterbowl - soak him in lukewarm water 3 times a week or so.

SNAKE:

Basic set up:

Heat pad
Waterbowl big enough for the snake to soak in
Hide

Feeding - mouse/rat once a week a lil bit bigger than the thickness of the snake.

;) give a call if you want to ask anything else

Poems are like a spiders web
Spun with words of wonder
Woven lace held in place
By whispers made of thunder

This really upsets me  Don't get pets if you cant look after them :( And it also does not require allot of attention to at least clean a cage! Is the bearded dragon a female do you know?
