Hi guys

I'm thinking of starting to build these custom enclosures. It has a sliding top...so no longer cellotape or elastic bands needed.

What do you think

They look real nice. What material are you going to use? Can you get those sliders in different sizes and what sizes do you get them in?

Hi Garfield

I can get the sliders in 4mm. The whole enclosure I will build out of 3mm glass. The top I will do out of 4mm, for a secure fit into the slides.

The black part is just to finish it off. I am using on that the same plastic sheets that they use to mold the fish tank canopies.

I want to see if I can colour code it, instead of using black, maybe red, blue etc. Maybe for different species...

So you can make them any size? and you can also make the front slide open instead of the top one?

Yip and yip.

I've already got 2. One for my adult curly and one for a baby gecko. The Curlies cage slides open at the top with the length. The reason for this, I only have to slide it half way(100mm+ to clean the one side while the T is on the other side and then he cant climb out. And then after cleaning the one side, I can chase her to the other side and slide the top to the other side to clean. This is very helpful if you have a T that loves taking chances getting out of the enclosure when you clean it.
