After being inspired by Dimiri's 'Hunger Games' project, I've decided to attempt a project of my own.

My plan is to have a set that is half aquarium and half spider wonderland.

Here's the plan. Like the project that inspired me, the final product will feature a waterfall with a pool big enough to comfortably house a school of White Cloud Mountain minnows (Tanichthys albonubes), A boatload of fresh water shrimp to help keep the water quality, some water snails and what ever other creatures I find alone the way.

There will be a large 'dry land' area for the spiders, which will have driftwood, Orchids (maily Restrepia elegans), bromeliads, ferns and mosses, my question here is what species can handle the high humidity levels with in the vivarium, which is estimated to be around 90%-100%?

Please help!

I will post pics of the whole process to keep you guys in the loop and I hope to see more 'Eco-system' type set ups in the future.

Oh ja, the tank i am using is a custom built 1m X 1m X 1.5m aqarium that my brother had built when he was still into fish.

Great idea! the only problem I see is the fact that all freshwater inverts are illegal to keep in SA as far as I know :(

Sadly posted ideas are not posted projects...

Show us the pics of your project with costs.

The reality is I'd like to make a visual wonderland however when you get into costs it's not that feasible or affordable.

I used to belong to a RC Tank combat forum and they only posted completed works. Realistically every one has a great plan however it's the ones that are complete them that counts.

They would only display completed projects. (maybe that's something admins can setup) a completed projects area.

Not the prophet of doom the realistic prophet....

My 2c worth.

I'm here to offer advice on what I know...
I'm here to seek advice on what I don't know...
I'm not here to get into forum politics so please don't condemn or apologise to me...
Please leave me alone...
Why are you here!

I see your 2c, understand where you coming from.
But!
I think this is a new direction "we" as SA hobby are going into.
Nothing nicer than seeing the process of a project from start to finish.(even if it is a suggested thought and never starts)
Some people do the complete project and then post project pictures once done. Others do it step by step and post each time a process is complete.
Some don't even bother posting there works of art!
I also don't think it is right to say complete projects, I have one project It not near completed been like that since last year march, the last step I did was grout it, the tank has been occupied, so until the tank is free the project will stand.

I feel it is nice to know what is going on in the minds of the Few and at least have some movement with Idea running back and forwards.
And at the end of the day more people see the projects and it gets them started and thinking.

It will take us a will before we at the level of the Americans or the EU countries, where designs are there thing.
And ever second person has tried there hand at a design!

Also some people keep there projects hush hush and they never see the light of day or the forums for that matter, so by posting it that is maybe the needed push for some one to complete there projects and show them off!
