Hi All.

I bought a G. Rosea from a guy in Pretoria earlier this evening. He gave me this tarantula and said the guy he got it from said he did not know what Tarantula it is. I suspect its a local baboon.

If it is a baboon, who can I give it to?

Definitely a local id say, looks like its in the Ceratogyrus family

Not many people have permits to keep locals. I would say Ruan (Ceratogyrus) would be your best bet to hand this over to.

Is that a little horn or protrusion coming from the center of its back (carapace), or just an artifact of the photography?
