Anyone got any ideas what type of Tarantula this could be???

All I can say is...that it was sold to me as a Pamphobeteus platyomma and that it's a mature male.

But definately not a Pamphobeteus platyomma mature male.Although I still believe that must be a species within the Pamphobeteus genus.Not sure which one exactly.

Possibly P. sp machala?

sorry but it looks like a platyoma male to me....the machalla is mutch more purple....IMO!! :whistle: ....but always tricky to see true colour on photos!!

Trust me Carlo the Pinkish highlight that this T. gives off can be very misleading.We've already compared this male with a real P. platyomma mature male,and they don't even come close to looking the same.Nah this must be something else.

I'm thinking more in the lines of P. sp. "Equador" or P. sp. "Equador II" or somethimg along those lines.This T. really has me baffled and scratching hard for some advice.Best to let nature take it's course and let him die very unhappy.I'm not willing to mate him with a female if I'm not 100% sure what correct species he is.

Legion, try to get a clear pic of the markings on the carapace and I'll try and match it with my pampho's.
