Hi Everyone!

have a bit of a weird situation. One of my Nhandu Chromatus slings (1cm Brazilian Red & White) molted about 2 months ago, and then did not eat a thing for the past two months, it just sat there and was very pale white, almost looked like he was turning into an albino of some sort, to be honest was expecting it do curl up and die.

Then about two weeks ago, molted again, and came out looking perfect, but it's opisthosoma part of his molt was stuck to his butt, and had to actually help him pull it off.

Then this week, my second NC molted but normally, no paleness or anything, also about 1cm, and again the last part of the molt stuck to his butt, and still is.

Do I pull it off? Leave it, will it harm it?

Some help please.

Thanks!

+ 1 TH

its not a good idea to pull it off
I did it once to and I pulled off the spineerits
Need less to say my Ts could not web properly

Or if you take a air bud and wet the ear bud and wet the old skin on the Ts abdomen this will make the old skin soft ..

But just increase the humidity

Hi Guys!

humidity is 70%. I have to add though that the T Keepers Guide says this is not a factor? However thanks for all the answers, I am going to try Cascades ear bud method and see if it comes loose.

+ 1 everyone!

Ahh, the same thing just happened to my N chromatus sling tonight. The humidity is pretty high already though, I'll wait until tomorrow and see what happens.
