Hey everyone. :)

I have a bit of a problem.. We have dubia roaches and for some or other reason they get out of the plastic containers.. Dubia's as far as I know shouldn't be able to climb. But how do they get out?

I caught 4 now. and last week I caught 2. Small, meds and adults.. How on earth can I stop the from getting out? I am a bit scared that my mother will bombrogade the house if she found out about the roaches getting out.. :(

I use vaseline at the top of the containers, but sometimes when I put new vaseline on, I can see some of the bran etc. is sticking to the container on top of the vaseline..

How would you suggest to fix the problem?

Jip jip, a lot of food, and we change it every second day.

What container do you have them in?

Does the container have a lid?

Plastic container, it has a lid yes.. well each of them have lids. They are in three diff containers.. For small, med, large. :) (so that the small ones don't become lunch at any time ;) )

They have ventilation, with wire over so they can't get out that way.. The only thing I can think of is that they squeeze through between the lid and the container.

Miss M, aka Marula will be able to give you advice on this Angel.

What I've seen, is people putting a silk stalking over the mouth of the container before they put the lid on. Then have the lid cut open to supply ventilation.
