You need to find them first!
also you never now if there is poision which mite be dangerous for your tarntulas.
But I got 4 species that I caught in the yard and house!

you will be looking at a couple of months. I'm not sure but I think if you google them you will find info on them.

Cascade says it all already. To have a sustainable supply of raoches you need hundreds of adult females of any species. Better more than that. The nymphs grow slowly, and the more you take out, the less reach adulthood.

House roaches are pests, and I wouldn't want to have even the odd escapee invited into my house :blink: Escapees of the exotic species normally won't be able to breed in our climate, with perhaps the exception of Durban and the likes.

As cascade and Marula have said, heat and humidity is key to breeding well. it usually takes a few months for a colony to establish properly.

I also found on a few forums stating that feeding the roaches Oranges also speed up things.

I'd advise to watch out for the humidity getting too high rather than too low. A colony of roaches produces some humidity itself, and lack of ventilation will cause mould. Ventilation is of major importance. A lid with holes in it definitely won't be enough. Rather cover the container with panty hose or something similar.

But a source of water (also fruit & veg work as such) is a must for quicker growth and reproduction.
