So I'm the DIY type of guy, mainly because I like building stuff for my animals and also Because most of the time its cheaper. My latest project has been to build hides for my snakes. I tried the polystyrene and tile grout thing but it didn't last I think my snakes have a destructive gene in them. So now I tried building them out of clay and it works great so far and it doesn't cost to much.

So this got me thinking we all want whats best for our animals but not everyone can afford the best. So what I would like to know would you be interested in some hides for your T's at affordable prices. I have made some prototypes for you to see how it looks and if I can I will post a video of how strong it is so you can see the quality of the product by dropping it from a certain height.

I have some more ideas like a little water bowl that is T safe and some hides with a rougher texture.

Just for a little more info the hides are made of clay and painted with waterproof paint its natural looking and quite sturdy.

Here are some pics for you. the first one is my favorite so far its a log with a lid. Its great for arboreal and terrestrial T's. It will set you back about R25-30




The next is just the normal cave with a open bottom so the T can burrow down and make it bigger. The first is a medium size and will cost about R15-20.


And the next is a small for your slings only about R5-R7


Just to make certain you understand these are not for sale yet I just want to know if you would be interested in these caves. If I get enough positive feedback these and many more will soon be in the market.

Also any other ideas welcome.
