Sup ppl.

I want to keep crocs or alligators... but im not to sure how legal it is to keep them around here.
Can any one help me with some advice or point me in the right direction?

www.sareptiles.co.za should be able to point you in the right direction. As far as I know any crocs that aren't indigenous are legal. Like Dwarf Caimens.

But also be warned I have heard of ppl being sold the real big stuff and being passed off as the ones being mentioned above... so when they are big they end up with 6meter + crocs...

A while back I was also into the whole caimen thing but worked out to expensive and space consuming in the long run... hope it helps

No but I was tempted ... here at the Midrand Reptilians they had 2 of about +-30cm for I think it was R6000 each. Dunno if they are still there or going for the same price.

Ah ok. I saw some about a year ago at an expo for 1.8g per lil crock, they were the same size more or less. But at the time i wasnt interested in keeping them.

1.8g sounds awesome but almost to good to be true. I remember when they just came into the country... I saw a baby croc nearly hitting 15g and a fully grown one almost 50g <--- LOL
