Hi all.

Wanted to know who is going to the races at the woodex expo at gallagher estate on 23/03. Feel free to stop by and say hi. I race for our shop Sherenco and Stihl

There are no spiders but we make a lot of noise and its always entertaining.

Wow, I only thought you would see this kind of thing on ESPN!!

Well take some spiders with you and then it is best of both worlds.

So do you have one of those moded out chain saws with the massive exhaust and horse power?
If can, would you post pictures of your Machine you using?
How long have you been racing for?
Do they have axe throwing, axe cutting well all the activities as the Americans do?

Hi.

We dont do the axe thing in SA. We have mod saws but our rules do not allow for bike saws. Here is a pick of last year at woodex

There is a couple of different classes that can be compeated in

1. Chainsaw carving-- the compettetor is given a LOG and has an hour to carve something. Some people do amazing stuff. Not me, not artistic

2. Novice class-- you pitch up with your ppe and a standard saw is given to you and you compeat

3. Pro standards-- std saw up to 73cc

4. Small mods-- 73cc saw but you are allowed to "mod" the chain barrel pipe and so on

5. Open mods-- Any saw open to any mod you like

We only compeat in the Pro Std, Small mod and Open mod clases

hope that helps

I don't like those bike saws, I think that has lost the plot of cutting wood. :chainsaw:
They sound nice though. shouting

But I like the moded out saws, like what you guys are running. That is cool.

What places were those trophies for?
What is the biggest CC saw that you are using in Open mods?

I will make sure about the places taken today.

Our open mod is 121cc is in a MS880

Some of the guys compeating use imporeted saws from the states. But we build our own. I have been involved in the sport since I can remember. Have been cutting since I was 18 so that makes this year my 11th

With the open mod we run a sub 7sec time. That is less than 7 seconds to start your saw, do 3 cuts and place the saw back on the ground.

Wil see what happens this weekend
