We will be arranging an expo in Durban this year. It is just before Xmas to ensure that last minute shopping does not get wasted on a pair of socks again.

I see the people were disappointed in previous expos. You people have to make it work. We provide the venue and the customers and you must sell the beasts and the hardware. We cannot take the blame for the small variety and high prices. The big players need to set the example and develop the hobby outside Gauteng even though many "Vaalies" are going to be there.

If anyone is interested in making a killing at Gateway in Durban (they dont have any big tarantula breeders it seems) then contact Heidi. Stands start from R750 upwards.

Gateway centre has over 100 000 people that walk through there per day. If just 10 percent pop in to the expo then we have reached hundreds of new potential spider lovers.

We have secured a venue at Gateway Hotel, which is right next to Gateway Shopping Center in Umhlanga. It's 5 minutes away from the airport, just off the N2.

Both Exotic & Indigenous reptiles will be for sale, as well as tarantulas, feeder animals, etc.

Date & Times:
17 December 2011 - 10am - 5pm
18 December 2011 - 9am - 4pm
Costs: R20 per adult, R10 per child.
