As it seems it is impossible to get a T Blondi, however I would like to know will you guys recommend the Salmon Pink Birdeater [Lasiodora Parahybana]?

I can get one of those around 1cm.

Then I would recommend a Lasiodora klugi (Scarlet birdeater). They are the heaviest bodied spider in the world, almost growing as large as the T. blondi.

Lasiodora parahybana also gets huge, just a tad smaller than the current record holders.
They are more readily available than L. klugi at the moment (e.g. Stalker) and absolutely worth keeping! Check the classifieds section!

Sometimes they are available as sub-adults or adults. I think the last slings that were available in SA were from Matt which he bred himself about 2 years ago.

They are usually reasonably priced.

I think that L. klugi are under-appreciated in the hobby...

I love my klugi female (of Matt's breeding), but I've seen some parahybana females that could easily match a klugi in size and almost in mass.
