How do you know? was created by Suz
I'm not sure if this is in another thread - did look but couldn't find anything. I want to know, how do you now if a female tarantula is ready to be bred with?

I have an H.lividum hasn't been sexed but I'm sure its female (She has the beautiful blue colouration) - since I've had her she hasn't molted and she's a big girl already. Now just from looking at her size I would think she is ready. Please correct me if I'm mistaken on anything.

Hope someone can help...

Please stick to the topic.

Firstly, I would advise that you have it sexed, which means you will have to wait for a moult..

Once it has moulted, and confirmed to be a female, you have a look at the spermathecae. If it's darkened, your female is sexually mature.

Aves-vous vraiment avoir cette traduction?

If its a male Scarab - I definately need him to have a sex life. LOL!

I thought that males are brown in colour and females have the blue?
