So I can't be the only one that can't wait for winter to pack up and bugger off!

I don't keep my T's room in a controlled environment but always keep it a little warmer. However, my t's are still super inactive and aren't very keen to eat at all just yet. Can't wait to see them all raring to grow again.

I actually lost two t's this winter, my t.purpurea (purple tree spider) and a c.cyaneobubescens (green bottle blue)... more than I lost all summer :(

Anyway...winter be gone!

:)

I feel your pain HeteroScuderia. :(

However I did put in the effort to keep my T's warm and cozy, for most part to get my Theraphosa apophysis to drop an eggsac for me.But I tell ya...the electricity bill is killing me.So I wish winter was long gone aswell.I'm sick and tired of all this cold weather.

Don't waste my time!

joburg winters seem to be just as bad as the free state(where i'm from)..
I keep my t's in a large drawer with heating wire. the drawer is one of those basket-weave jobs, so it gets ventilation too. warm, vented and dark!

I feel you guys. I stay on the coast so its suppose to be like summer all year round but wow I have been amazed how the temps have affected my T's as well. Their feeding and molting cycles are so messed up. I lost a little Auratum sadly. Not a hundred percent confirmed but he seemed to be in the death curl only a few days after his molt.

I had a mate (he is on the forum) that lost a GBB a few weeks ago. He got stuck in his molt. Is this the case with your GBB HetroScuderia?

Winter reminds me of death with all the brown and yellow. I need summer to be alive again.

I also lost two T's this winter. I lost my P. Cambridgei and my N. Tripepii. Almost lost my P. Irminia as it was moulting and it was so cold that day that the Exuvium had hardened while moulting. Suffice to say I managed to pull the exuvium off his abdomen but one of it's pedipalps was stuck. I left it to see if he would manage but he chewed it off instead. But at least he has survived but missing a pedipalp. Now I have two disfigured T's :D A H. Incei missing a Leg and a P. Irminia missing a Pedipalp.
