I "glued" all the pieces together using chloroform and ran it along the joins on the inside afterwards. The bottom section is watertight now. I have made ventilation holes using a 5mm drill bit (drilled very slowly).
Last night I dropped the last of my chloroform in its glass bottle onto the kitchen tiles, dont remember much of the clean up but thats why the hinges and catch on the top are secured using small bolts and nuts.
It is earmarked for my Poecilotheria fasciata that is about 5 to 6cm at the moment. Might leave him to grow a bit more before moving him or what do you think?
