I recently posted about my T. cupreus dropping a phantom sack. Some how, she has managed to double clutch.

Since I got her in about December last year, she has not eaten a morsel of food.
The first sack I removed but now, with her malnourishment in mind I have left the sack with her hoping she will eventually eat it.

Any thoughts on her survival?
She's only 9cm

Sh1t man thats bad news, sorry to hear that bud... Try feed her while she has the sac if she doesn't eat it... Damn shes so small, I know Nick Wade has a P.Cambridgei whose female double clutched and is still alive I think so chances are there.

Have you tried feeding her?
Just drop a cricket it and she should eat?

I don't understand. Is there a tendency in female spiders that when they double clutch and not eat that they end up killing themselves by starvation?

I have lost females that have double clutched as well as females that have triple clutched.
But on the other hand I have had spiders that have been fine after triple clutching. I think the older one's often struggle more than the youngsters.

Well that's good news. We put crickets and dubia in, still not eating.
