Hi all my name is Grease Ligntning. I'm an Avic. Avic. Or Pink Toe Tarantula for those not in the know.

Today was my last day and what a good life I had. Two years ago I was bought by a dad for a five year old little boy named Dex. I was his first T. Some of you may remember him as the boy bidding on the curly in the 2010 tarantula auction. You'll all get to know him in years to come as a tarantula breeder and seller. For now he is learning the art and building his collection until he is thirteen and ready to sell online through his own T store.

I remember the day I was bought from the pet shop in Lifestyle nursery two years ago and shown to my new owner Dex. Boy was he stoked. He fed me and looked after me in my jungle like home. I even got to play with a whole bunch of his friends and none of them were afraid to hold me - as long as Dex held me first.

I matured into a MM and was looking for a mate however sadly there were none available at the time so my owner bought me one. Sadly she was already mated... I heard she had 1st instar slings last week. My turn next.

Unfortunately my life is only so long and I couldn't wait for her to molt out and try again.

After a few weeks of looking a little under the weather I decided the time was right for me to die. You know an old dog like me should die with dignity so I huddled under the hens and chicks and said my last goodbye before curling into the death curl.
