Hi,

Im new, ive been keeping rain spiders for a while now and im looking to get a tarantula. Saw a giant one in the pet store the other day. I just dont know where to start looking. Any suggestions?

Hello. Welcome:)

The normal response is to get a 'beginners' Tarantula (common response is eg. Brachypelma Albopilosum or something like that), but you probably already feel comfortable keeping and handling spiders. I'd still recommend getting something cheap, like a B.Albopilosum or L.Parahybana(more aggressive), just to make sure you like the hobby (not that I doubt you wouldn't!).

Also, I like to get them while they are still small (1.5-3cm). This way I can see them growing up, and I enjoy that. Makes it more worth it

There are other breeders on the forum but they don't have web sites so u going to have to look around and ask people who they are. Ceratogyrus, Fangs, Scarab, Oceanblue and many others are a few of the breeders.
