@ Marius: Touche

I didn't even do the experiments so why is everyone treating me like I hybridised a P. mettalica to a A. brockehursti? I guess people hate me for my "views" and "opinions"

F1refly, you posted the topic, you posted your views and feelings, you made it personal by some of your statements, but why are you worried what people think about you and your feelings.
You lake talking and debating things, you are always thinking and always posting topics like this.

try not to worry to much if people are not going to like you, and become enemies.

I mite not agree with some of your views, but guess what we all different.

And Karin hit the nail on the head!

We all are invested in this hobby to a different degree.
Some love there spiders to bits, other are just in it for the money, some are in the hobby because they can be, other do it for the love of tarantulas and the interesting creatures . Every one is different.

I feel strongly about species being cross breed, to make a new "species" to sale for money, but if you do it from a scientific view and you only keep a few to see what happens, and you control the out come then nothing wrong there.

Nah. Nobody hates you for anything.

You stated amongs other contentious issues your intent to assist in the propogation of life with the intent to destroy it for the sake of the experience.
People gave your their views and opinions on the issues you raised and how unnecesary and pointless the destruction of life would be.

However:

I think what I am trying to translate from your post heading, for me at least, is how do I validate breeding and killing roaches to feed to spiders and why breeding spiders to feed to spiders bugs me. Logically it should be the same, but it isn't.
I enjoy the spiders on an emotional level as opposed to purely logical. Raising a pathetic little 0.3cm sling to an amazing and rare animal is rewarding emotionally, hence the investment and objections.

I see no burning effigies on your front lawn.

Also you mentioned kittenz. People love their kittenz.

I'm not impossible. I'm being improbable.

Is that meant in a good way or do you mean I'm always posting crap Threads :D

I don't care to much if people hate me or dislike me.

I respect everyones views, just like I hope everybody respects my views. I have my own reasons for my opinions.
I have never been religious, not since I was 7, but I still understand how people see my opinions. If I was someone else, I would also probably see my views as being masochistic or sadistic, but I believe it is merely because I have no "organization" holding me down.

I would love to be a geneticist, specifically involved in Invertebrates, but in this day and age, I would probably come under a lot of pressure from religious groups with the genetic experiments I'd want to do.
