I would have thought a baboon spider would be a bad choice to introduce to arachnophobes. Especially if handling. Obviously I'm wrong. Is C. darlingi a fairly docile T?

When I did talks at schools, shopping centers, etc in my "younger days" I would often use baboon spiders for handling demonstrations. As long as you watch their "body language" they are fine.
On the other hand, there are some of my darlingi's that I would need to use a 60cm snake hook on if I wanted to attempt handing.
All depends on the spider.

Haha my best friend wouldn't even walk into my room and one day he was in need of a beer really badly so i made him handle my G.Pulchripes for a beer and he has turned from an arachnophobe to wanting to hold the spider all the time hahaha
