Before everybody goes up in smoke over a Poecilotheria delivering a pinch, please consider what happened.
I have always maintained that they will run before they bite, and will continue to believe so until the contrary is proven. This young spider ran because of the disturbance in it's enclosure, that's normal. It found a place to hide up your sleeve, that's normal. It felt threatened but the pressure from the clothing, that's normal. It was out of options in it's own defense, so the last resort was a bite, that's normal.
So all considered, the spider acted normally, and so would any spider, be it a B albopilosum or an H minax.
There are creatures far smaller than a 2cm P ornata that can deliver a painful bite, so I am not surprised that a young Pokie can also.
Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...
