I know that every species breeding is different but I am sure most methods would be the same?

firstly I would like to know about "flooding"
- how is it done?
- why is it done?

then I have come across "the cooling off period"
- how is it done?
- duration of cooling?

If anyone can think of other things to mention pls do add on!

what does it mean when the T double clutches?

Double clutch is when a Female Tarantula manages to produce a second cluster of eggs after only mating once with a Male.

directly after each other or a noticable gap? whats the chances of the second eggsac being fertile?

When mating your tarantulas, keep flooding the terrarium - you'll want it moist while mating and feeding but once you see her start to gain size and stop eating, stop flooding and let it dry out a little bit. Flooding is by wetting the soil of your tarantula terrarium to increase humidity but also simulates the rain season, note that this does not mean they must swim tough.
I think the cooling off period was described by some tarantula breeders as an attempt to simulate the cooler months prior to the (Spring) breeding season, which upon warming up this would trigger the mating urge in some instances.

If she hasn't moulted there is a very good chance, this normally happens when a female looses her egg sack for some or other reason and is still in season. In the hobby they refer to this a lot because breeders uses mechanical moms and removes the egg sack early enough for the female to produce another.
