Hi i just want to share a few pictures of Psalmopoeus cambridgei - Trinidad chevron mating.
They mated 10/02/2012.
This was by far the most stressful mating.it lasted 12min 26 sec
Before the mating she was sort of calm and now after she turned very defensive and agressive.
Is this normal for a Psalmopoeus cambridgei to behave this way after mating?
i think she might be angry at me, because i let her dinner escape after there 2nd date. LOL
I made a video and saved the pictures.

I'm Happy to say that my Psalmopoeus cambridgei made her egg sack on the 1st of April 2012.
she is very defensive and warn me if i get close to her enclosure. i will try to get pics as soon as she lets me open her enclosure :)

@ reinier yes it is very common for females to get aggressive towards males..... Just some good advice rather leave your spider with the egg sac alone no touching the cage or opening it... Any sort of disturbance can cause her to eat the egg sac or abandon it....so just wait 26 days then you can open the cage take all the pics you want and pull the eggs sac for incubation.... you can every few days check on her with the eggs with a torch, but like I said no touching or irritating the spider...

and well done on the breeding, hope it all works out for you!!!!!!! :-)
