Let me explain something to ALL novice or young breeders. This will cost you another three slings.

Tarantula breeding is NOT an exact science. I am yet to see a spider with a vernier looking for a "perfect" spot. It is NOT rocket science, it IS a shitload of common sense, intuition, observation and above all, LUCK. Ask Hendrik if he ever "measured" anything, yet he has more egg cases than I have spiders.

Just make a freaken cone, stick it in the ground, treat your female (and spiders) with care and hope for the best. There is NOTHING more you can do. No backdrop, pink light, soft music or plastic plant on earth that will make any difference. It is simply SEX, OPTIMAL CONDITIONS AND LUCK.

Keep it simple, but THINK what the spider would experience in the bushes of South East India...

This should be on the standard welcome for all users on the site and on everyone's signatures. New or old.

When it come to breeding just do it, in all honesty, like this angle and this size and this temp and this humidity is B.S.... if there was a science to it there would be loads on the market... just do and and hope for the best.... and if you stuff up so what!!! You learned something which you can take into your next breeding.... There is not one way and one way only to breed... Alot of the time its luck... Put the male into the cage and pray they hump the SH!T out of each other...
