How do I know if my male Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens pedipalps are charged with sperm, because I sharked tanked my male with my female last nigh and this morning she is ready to go, tapping like mad, but him on the other hand keeps running away like a wuss.

He molted into a mature male about 3 weeks and 2 days ago so I really don't know if he is ready or not. Unfortunately his whole enclose is webbed so I can't tell if he has laid a sperm web.

Anybody?, some advice would be greatly appreciated

He should have made a sperm web by now.
As for the actual mating, try contact someone who has bred them and see if you can get some tips from them.

My Male is doing the same thing, he waltzes all over like he's ready to mate, then when I put him in the enclosure with my female, they both tap at each other, but he slowly tap dances his ass out of there! Coward.

I've been doing a lot of reading but I can't find an explanation for this behaviour. Normally, the male is introduced, and if the female is not ready, the male gets munched. If the male is hesitant, he gets munched. If the male is too fast, he gets munched. Female GBB's are notorious for this. But here we both have willing females, and the males keep running off??

I don't get it either.

My one friend has two massive females living communally with 2 MM (each of them has a male in their enclosures) for 2 weeks now already and no munching

And its not that the enclosures are massive its rather small actually, its 300x250x250mm

The problem with my male is that he doesn't tap back only the female taps.
