I have seen many things, this was a little weird...

My P fasciata female, an absolute breeding machine, gave me her last surprise.

After being a little secretive for a few days, I decided to open her enclosure to see what she was up to. On opening the lid, a weird odour was rather obvious. I anticipated to find her dead, but not dead in a puddle of eggs...

I have never heard of this happening, never seen it happening, nor thought it would happen, but I shit you not, this is what I found...


I removed her from her last egg case...


Sleep well old lady...


I am not asking for advice, I know what to do, but it would be nice to know if any one has ever seen or heard of a female dying on her egg case...

Let me get this right in my head.... You mated her a while back, got a sac, then she double clutched and dropped another sac, and now this would have been her triple clutch?? am I correct? Needless to say dying while laying a sac is super odd....
