B. albiceps limb damage was created by Liam
Hi all
My jvenile male B. albiceps (7-8cm) has been in premoult for about a week now so not moving much, just resting on the typical "molting mat" that they seem to create. Anyway, I was away yesterday and today but when I got home this afternoon and checked on him he had a badly broken limb - in between 2 joints it was pretty much snapped and bent backwards. He molted just now and the limb got stuck so I was compelled to amputate it one leg joint away from the cephalothorax. It appears to have sealed and I immediately put him in an ICU, what are his chances of survival and possibly regeneration? :(

Regards BP

Hey bushpilot. Not a nice thing to see im sure.if it's just the leg and it has sealed properly you should have nothing to worry about.
The broken limb will probably come off and a moult will come quicker with a new leg.

When life gives you lemons, wing them right back and add some lemons of your own.

This N. chromatus girl damaged her leg a few months ago. She has moulted twice since then, and this is what the leg looks like while re-generating.

Eventually it will be 100% normal.

Thanks guys but he passed away shortly after lunch today. What a blow to my tiny T collection.
