Any idea how maggots get in the enclosure ?

Well the only way maggots appear is from flies, but fly eags hatch with in a couple of hours to 24hours of being laid.
And I only thought after wards I should of put her into a container and waited to see what the maggots turned into, but I had left the cage open when I found her dead.

So I'm kind of stumped, I have two thoughts, first was that she died and the flies laid the eggs on her, but there where no flies in the enclosure when I got home, the vent holes are actually to small, unless they were fruit flies.
The 2nd thought was the maggots had been laid inside her from her bad molt and that was the reason why her abdomen started to shrink and get the dent.

Regardless of all the conspiracy theories I have thought of, she will be missed and has been buried.

I know I'm going a bit off topic with this maggot thing ..but when my iridopelma sp reciefe sling died the day after I found tiny white things crawling out of it ..I was confused becoz it was in a small plastic tub with pin sized holes ..

Sorry about your loss cascade, I was hoping she would recover.
