After reading this thread yesterday I can't stop checking up on my S.calceatum. I'm stressed out now.

I'm sorry for all your losses guys. So far mine is doing ok.
It's about 6-7cm now. I keep the enclosure quite dry with a water bowl.
I spray the enclosure about twice a week.
My T room's humidity is around 25-28 degrees and humidity around 60%

I reckon the temp and humidity in the tank itself will be a bit higher.

Good luck to all.

In the last couple of days I've heard of a lot of people with this same problem. The t's go and lie on their back without a molting mat and then just die. Ive heard of a n.chromatus that dies and a l.parahybana that died in this same manner. Another friends g.pulchra also went to lie on her back like this, so he put her upright again and now she's doing fine. He said she was full of peat all over, as if she fell over and couldn'e get up again. But after turning her upright she wenrt about being her normal self. So maybe turn her uptight??? It realy doesnt look like she's going to molt..
