Ok, So the biggest update of my short lived communal :drunk: sad trumpet noob topicsucks

I'm not exactly sure what went wrong, something hit a massive speed bump and derailed everything.
At this point I have 5 H.incei's left from +/-300 spiders.

As The last post stated, I did not give a heat source, I even checked on them again, this time digging a bit deeper and there where lots of slings and adults still alive, a couple weeks before devastation struck, the spiders had become much more active, exploring and walking around.

So that Friday i went to the pet shop and got them crickets, came home and feed the communal.
A day later something did not seem right as there where more crickets than spiders at this point, so I destroyed the communal and went through everything "peat" for "peat", I found 11 spiders.

I found one spider that was not moving, I thought she was molting so I put her into the enclosure to molt out, a day later she was still on her back, and day after that she was still on her back and no movement, she was dead.

So I removed her body, 5 days later there were 3 more spiders that had died, 2 days later another spider had died.

the rest of the spiders seem to be fine, but they look like they have gone through a war and back, they look old and tattered.

As I said, I have no Idea what went wrong, I'm leaning towards the crickets being the issue, but i still don't know what the hell happened.

If it was the cold weather surely they all would of been died a while ago.
We don't have chemicals in the house, and no one touches my spider cages with out asking me.
But regardless of the cause, I did this kind of knowing what I was doing, just frustrating as I don't know the exact reason what went wrong, that would make it worth while and make it easier to handle.

i don't think it was the cold as I had 3 other spiders living outside of the spider room and all 3 of the spiders are fine.

Only five? Wow, did my male survive the apocalypse?

Big chance of crickets being the problem I rate. I had my recife beauty chowed by a cricket.. not my happiest moment. but yeah crickets looking for food, cold tarantulas with reduced metabolism not wanting to eat.. sounds like it can be a problem?
